The Bahamas - Water Based Fun in AtlantisWhenever the temperature is high in the Bahamas, the Atlantis pool and slide area get tons of visitors. The area has activities for everyone in your family, including exciting trill ridesDuring a hot day in the Bahamas, it helps to go somewhere cool, preferably, somewhere with water; there are many great places on the island, but Atlantis offers something unique. Sure, you can visit a beach and jump into the ocean, which will cool you off, but it is an ocean and there are underwater animals and rocks there as well.If you decide to swim in the ocean, you can totally forget about diving into the water, unless you use a boat, but it is just not the same. Jumping into a swimming pool from a jumping board and riding trilling rides is much more exciting, this is why you should consider visiting Atlantis if you want to have tons of fun while cooling off. Atlantis is a great place, but it is not free; you have to be a guest at the hotel so you can use the pools and slides. For what you get, it is defiantly worth getting a room, because Atlantis has added some cool new slides that you have to check out. There many different types of slides that suit people of all ages, and it is quite fun going to the top and then sliding all the way down. You have to use a platform to get to different slides, and once you reach the slide of your choice, you will want to try the next one. If you cannot decide which ride to try first, you should consider Lazy River; do not let the name trick you, this ride is not lazy. Lazy River is an extreme trill ride for teenagers and adults; kids may or may not like it, they may be afraid of it. Lazy River will make your mouth drop because you will enjoy every minute of it; this ride should be on your must-try list when you visit Atlantis. |

Elderly people are welcome in this area too because there are rides suited for them as well; the rides are not as trilling, but they will enjoy them. One ride worth mentioning is the tube ride; older people can sit on one and let the water gently push them down the path. If you bring your grandparents along, they may get tired of standing up. You do not have to send them back to the hotel, because there are plenty of sitting areas available for them. All the rides are fun, but some people may not like the temperature of the water. Generally, Lazy River usually has sort of warm water, which is not all bad, because the water only splashes you during the ride, which is refreshing. Overall, if you want to cool off in cold water, you should go to the Atlantis swimming pool area, but if you want to have fun, the park area is the place to be. Do not expect to remain dry while in the slide area because you will be splashed. You should visit in your swimwear even if you do not plan to ride the rides, sometimes water splashes high within the area, which can land on you if you are nearby. Wearing swimwear is recommend because you might see a ride that you like, so it helps to arrive prepare, just in case. Atlantis is an awesome place to cool off and have fun on a hot day; all the rides are cool, but Lazy River is one of the best.
