The Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

The Atlantis Resort is located near Nassau, on Paradise Island in the formerly-British Bahamas just a short hop from Florida, USA

The Atlantis is one of the most lavish hotel complexes in the whole Caribbean (which is saying something, considering what other delights the region offers).

The grounds of The Atlantis Bahamas have waterfalls, streams, lagoons filled with sea creatures and underwater viewing areas. There are lagoons with sea turtles, lagoons with rays, Predator Lagoon and lots more. With 11 exhibit lagoons and 11 million gallons of water, the resort claims to be "the largest artificial marine habitat in the world".

One of the best ways to see the underwater life is to go underground to The Dig - an maze of themed chambers with views into the giant aquariums.

Atlantis Bahamas guests can also get wet themselves in the 7-acre lagoon, in various size and style swimming pools, on lazy river, or at the glorious white-sand beach.

Kids will especially lovr the Atlantis waterslides. The steepest ride takes off from a five-story Mayan Temple where a 60-foot near-vertical drop descends into a clear tunnel inside a shark-filled lagoon! There are also Challenger slides where you can race your friends.

Other Atlantis Bahamas features include a giant casino, a wide choice of restaurants, a spa and the new Marina Village with a massive selection of shops.
