Bahamas - The Atlantis Hotel The Atlantis is an amazing holiday destination, however there are other considerations before and after you get there. The quality of food and service are of paramount importance, and this should be borne in mind when you make a reservation Choosing a great hotel makes a massive difference to the enjoyment you experience whilst on vacation. can reasonable expect to be treated with courtesy by reception staff and room service should be fast and efficient. Food quality also counts high on the 'quality score' and, since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you want to be served quickly in order to start your day's activities early. The hotel’s location can help you as well. It should be close to local stores or have it's own shops so you don't have to go far to buy souvenirs for the folks back home. A vacation at The Bahamas Atlantis hotel ensures that most of these issues are covered... but at a cost! And before you get to the hotel, you have to decide how you want to travel round the island. You can rent a car, use a bus, a taxi or walk. If you choose to rent a carbe aware that driving is on the left although many cars are imported from the American market, so are designed to dbe driven on the right! ... It can get confusing if you're not used to it. Gas prices are also an issue; it is very expensive and, if you are on a budget, can turn out to be a major expenditure. Buses and taxis can get expensive as well, and you should only use them to reach the hotel. Walking is the easiest way to get around but, even though the island is not that large, it can limit your destinations. Once you are at The Atlantis, you can expect an elegant room, excellent food, but a room service that is sometimes not as fast or efficient as it should be. The food quality, however, is top class. Sadly, you need to get up early if you want to get a seat during the breakfast rush. During the summer season, it's tough to get a table in the morning, and if you are late, you will have to settle for the buffet. Although the hotel has great meals, they are expensive, and if you decide not to eat at the Atlantis you may have to travel a fair way because all the nearby restaurants are expensive as well.
