Bahamas - Hotels and Activities for the Elderly
The Bahamas has great activities for older parents, and the beach area is quite relaxing for them as well. There is also a casino in the area, and you and your parents will enjoy it a lot.
Taking a vacation in the Bahamas with your family is fun; however, if you bring elderly people along, you have to pick the right hotel. Choosing the right hotel is important, because a comfortable bed for your parents helps them relax better at the end of the day. If you like the beach, you should consider picking a place close to one, so you can easily walk your parents to their room when they get tired. In the Bahamas, there are many hotels close to great beaches, which provide great activities for elderly people, and fun stuff for you as well.When you visit the Bahamas with your parents, there are two great hotels you should consider, the Wyndham and Radisson. The Wyndham is an expensive hotel, but it has a few things that will make you and your parents happy.
If your parents are outgoing, they will definitely love the casino; once they step into this area, they will not want to leave until they win some money. You will enjoy the casino area as well; but after you spent a few hours there, you may want to leave and visit the beach. The beach area near the Wyndham is a great place to relax, and your parents will love the outdoor beach area too.
On the beach, there are many tables with umbrellas, so you do not have to worry about being sunburned during your meal. When you are ready to eat, you and your family will enjoy an excellent view of the ocean, and if someone wants a refill, just request it, and someone will come to refill your drinks, but this will cost you extra. After everyone has eaten, you can take your parents back to the hotel for the evening, or you can let them enjoy a few more hours outdoors with you.
Relaxing will not be a problem, because there are hammocks on this beach; laying on a hammock while reading a book is a great way for you and your parents to end the day. Hammocks might not be for everyone; if someone in your family likes sports, the Wyndham also has a nice sports bar, which is a great hangout spot in the Bahamas.

The Radisson is a bit cheaper, which is a good thing because you get a lot more when you stay there. After you checked everyone into their room, everybody can visit the beach for a while, which is right outside the hotel. To go to the beach, you just have to walk through the lobby and past the pool, and you are there.
Most people might stop at the pool, which is great, but if you have elderly people with you, they will enjoy the outdoors a bit more. The beach area is awesome for everyone because it has lounge chairs for your parents to relax on, which is great for bad backs. Once everyone sits down on a lounge chair, everybody can relax for a well, and then have some lunch, which comes from the outdoor café/grill.
This place has something for everyone, from burgers to sandwiches, and everything is a good price. After the great lunch, you and your parents might not want to leave the beach, because everyone will be having so much fun enjoy each other’s company.
When you visit the Bahamas with your parents, consider booking a hotel that is close to a beach so they do not have to walk as much. Activities are important as well, if your parents are outgoing, the Wyndham is a good choice because it has a casino, but if money is low, the Radisson is ok too.
