Bahamas - The Atlantis DigThe Atlantis Dig in the Bahamas is a fun attraction for kids, and it is educational. They will see many fish swimming around in the aquarium, and there are ruins to see too. There are many great attractions in the Bahamas, but the Atlantis dig offers something unique and interesting, so it is worth visiting. This attraction is generally about sea fish and ruins, and your kids will love it, grown-ups, however, might not enjoy it as much. The $25 per person cost may be somewhat expensive for some people, so if you want to take your kid to see the Atlantis dig, you need to figure out how many grownups are taking the tour too if you want to save money. The Atlantis dig is very interesting; the tour is an underground area that is surrounded by an aquarium filled with fish. The dig is awesome, but many tourists prefer to visit the aquarium in the lobby, which is ok because it is a free, but it does not offer what the dig offers. The dig is amazing to view, but it costs $25 per person, so you need to plan carefully about who is going to go see this attraction. A family with one kid and 2-3 adults should only choose one grown-up to go view the dig with the kid, because kids generally enjoy the dig the most. Some adults might enjoy it too, but many do not, it really depends on how much someone likes underwater fish. If you like watching fish, turtles and other sea creatures, you will have a good time going on this tour with your kid. |

Once you enter the dig area, you will
notice the amazing view of the aquarium from the lobby. The unique view is
awesome, because the aquarium now surrounds the area. Your kids will be amazed
as the fish swim around the dig area in close up views, but this attraction is
not just about viewing fish, it is about learning too. The dig is supposed to
make tourists seem as though they are in the underwater city of Atlantis, and
the dig does a good job of making everyone believe this. As you are walking
through the halls, turtles, sharks, jellyfish, and all sorts of other fish will
swim by the glass, this really makes you seem like you are in a city deep
underwater.
There are also ruins to view as you tour the area, but without some sort of guide, you will not have any detailed ideas about what you are viewing. Since there are no tour guides, you might want to bring something along to help you identify the fish and the ruins you see. Buying a book from a bookstore is a great idea because it will make your tour a bit better. Your kid will ask you questions about the fish in the aquarium and the ruins in the rooms, so why not give your kid the right answers instead of saying you do not know. The Atlantis dig is a great tour for kids because it is a fun way to see fish such as fish, turtles, and sharks from interesting views. The attraction is worth a try, but make sure you bring a book along so you can answer the questions your kid asks you, because there are no tour guides during this tour. Easy access to The Bahamas is one reason for its long-standing popularity as a winter holiday destination. Only a few miles from the south Florida coast, in fact closer than Caribbean destinations, the islands can be reached quickly either by air or by sea. The Bahama Islands temperatures rarely drop below 60 degrees F, or rise above 90 degrees F. Most of the rain fall occurs in the summer months. The sea temperature ranges from the low 80's in the summer to about 74 degrees F in the winter Find the best vacation deal, compare prices and read what other travelers have to say at Bahamas Vacation Anguilla Aruba Barbados Bermuda Bonaire Cuba Curacao Dominica Dominican Republic Grenada Guadeloupe Haiti Jamaica Martinique Montserrat Puerto Rico Saba St. Barthelemy St. Eustatius St. Lucia St. Maarten/St. Martin |
